This multiscreen video installation was created during my first year at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. The work is a fragmented poetic story in which all life within one environment is intertwined and exposed.

For one year I observed and analyzed situations and patterns of all living things on the Rijksakademie terrain. At that time there were many chickens, rabbits and other animals living on the compound. I explored the relations, behaviours and patterns of the animals, the artists, inlcuding myself and the staff in this secluded environment.

At the end of the year many animals obtained a disease and they had to be eliminated just before the Open Studios 2009. The video ends with a scene where Pieter the caretaker is burying all the chickens. This was the end of the vivid animal life on the terrain.
